DVD Player Not working

I am currently using Jaguar 10.2.8 with a 700, G4 iMac. I put in a DVD to play, and the DVD player starts everything is working fine, but then an error message comes up and says I need to quit.

Here's the exact message I get:
Unknown Error [1634955892]

Can someone please help me?

By the way, the DVD will continue playing in the background, but that message stays up.

You might try resetting its preferences. Quit DVD player, delete the file com.apple.DVDPlayer.plist in your Preferences folder, and restart DVD player.

Also, try running the Repair Permissions function in Disk Utility (First Aid tab).

If you have 3rd-party add-ons, try disabling them before running DVD player. This includes APE Manager, which supports Unsanity haxies. You can use the Process Viewer application to see what is running in the background to confirm that 3rd-party stuff is disabled.

If things still don't work properly, perhaps re-install Jaguar and all patches?

Try this;

In Terminal, type the following two lines (pressing the return key after each line):

cd /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks
sudo mv HIServices.framework HIServices.framework.old

This will ask for your password.
