Emailing PC's attachments won't work right

I am new to OS X and am preparing to convert all my macs in my office (6). I email a lot of proofs to clients and have been unsuccessful sending attachments to anyone with a PC. They come in as Mime files.
Is there any way to send an attachment that is not inline? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
 
Give us a few details. What mail client are you using? What is your ISP? What kinds of files are you trying to send to your clients?

One suggestions I have is to either host an FTP server, or find somewhere you can buy webspace for cheap, and post your files there, preferrably with a password. Then email your clients the URL for the file and the password for them to download at their leisure.
