Epson EPL-C8200 network printer problem

Hi Guys

Really need some help getting my printer to work, i have the printer working fine on my pc.. But really struggling on my MAC, i have been to the epson website and got the drivers off and think installed the printer correctly but when ever i send a document to it the document goes straight to the completed window and not to the printer ... why would this be?

I tried just using the generic postcript printer option and i can print text and images, just not pdfs i get a printer error.. what could i be doing wrong, as the PC can print to it no probs at all :-)

it is a nework printer with a static IP

Trying to connect via LDP at the mo? is this correct?
 
chilled, I presume you mean LPR. The static-IP address should eliminate concerns about your printer's changing IP addresses. The Printer Setup Utility has EPSON TCP/IP as a listed protocol. I don't think that the EPSON-specific implementation of IP-printing is required, but you ought to give it a shot.
 
Sorry i mean LPD?

when i go to the other setting and try to connect via epson TCP/IP setting it cant find the printer.. But i have downloaded an epson net assist product from there site and it can see my printer no problems at all...

Sorry for sounding like i dont know what i am talking about, but i am a recent MAC convert
