External Hard Drive- No Longer listed in "Devices", How Do I Access It?

Trying to set up Time Machine, I accidentally deleted my 1TB external hard drive from the "Devices" list in Finder. After restarting my computer and plugging in my external again, I'm still stuck in the same situation! Anyone know how I can fix this?
 
If you mean that you "remove from sidebar" it then in the Finder press
SHIFT + APPLE + G keys
paste
/Volumes
Find the HDD you want to have listed in the Finder then drag and drop it in the Devices Area of the finder.

If you did something else start up the Disk Utility App to see if the DU sees it.
