I am able to burn CDs and DVDs with no problem, however, no matter how I set up the folders and files before and after transferring them to the disk to be burned, they end up in icon view rather than the list view which I prefer. I have tried holding down the Option key when dragging files to make a disk image but that doesn't seem to help. When I revert back to Panther to burn CDs and DVDs I have no problems. Any ideas?

I see that too in Tiger. However, it takes almost no effort to click the view changer icon at the top of the Cd/DVD's finder window. So, if you want your Mac to remember the setting for Cd/DVD views, then you might have to submit a Mac OS X Feedback form to Apple suggesting the ability be added back.
