First Impressions

OK, so in my quest of life I have been advised never to judge people truly by first impression -- and don't feel I am a judgemental person anyway. But then again -- my first impressions are usually right -- impressions regarding: will they be able to take my sense of humor, will they be able to talk about astronomy -- (or whatever common interest applies to you)...am i psycho? I just feel psychologically conflicted.

Sometimes it's tough to fight that urge to go with your first instinct, but you have to. Sometimes you're pleasantly (or UNpleasantly) surprised about what you find out as you get to know someone beyond that first impression. Of course, it's a matter of being able to accept them no matter what faults they might have in your perspective.
