G5 Dual will benefit in future ?

do you think that with buying the G5 Dual you will benefit in future because multiprocessors will more and more be supported?
and will this concern all applications?
or will the advantage over the single Processors stay the same relation as it is now?
I used my G3 now for 6 years. and I wonder if I buy now a Single G5 in 3-4-5 years every professional will use multiprocessors and my mac will look very old comparing it to the old Dual G5!
 
Even if you're not using power hungry apps like 3D/video/audio, you can still benefit if you run LOTS of apps simultaneously, with enough RAM as well. OSX will run some apps on one CPU and some more apps on the other CPU and they'll all work and never miss a beat.
