g5 randomly shutting off.

I have one of the original G5 dual CPU models. Today it has started shutting off after random amounts of time. Almost as if it had a sudden loss of power, like you pulled out the plug. I checked the CPUs and they are running at about 135F so I don't think it is overheating. What else could the problem be? A faulty powersupply?

First do you have the G5 connected to a power strip, surger or battery backup? Check that first. I had a battery fail in my backup that caused shutdowns.
