Help Setting Up Router Wirelessly

I am trying to setup a D-Link Wireless ADSL Router (DSL-G604T)

Ive turned on airport and managed to pick up the signal and connect, the airport bar shows full signal, but I need to set it up with a username and password

The router I have at the moment I can simply type 192.168.0.1 and setup from there but when I try for this one it doesn't work

How can I set this up?

All the software discs were made for windows so im a little stuck

just found out i was meant to type 192.168.1.1

problem solved

Next time check out the network configuration and type the ip-number behind the gateway. This works always, even when the manual is not present or incorrect (or not read). It is a very simpel trick, but should work always (if the router is the DHCP server).

Good luck, Kees

Wouldn't it be easier to remember the "1"? :) You could even put a PostIt on the router with that address.

it wasnt in the manual actually

I keep experiencing slow connection speeds like 400kbs instead of 5.5meg

This is the 2nd router ive tried and am having the same problem

any ideas?

Well this is the FIRST time in this thread YOU said ANYTHING about router speeds! I was making a joke, hence the smiling face. I guess you don't like humor.

You obviously don't want my network experience. So go to another Network Analyst and ask because this conversation has ended!
