How do I setup the FTP server shares to lock users in their virtual directories?

I m using Mac OS X Snow Leopard.

I setup the FTP and created accounts. However I can't seem to lock the users into their own shares/directories. It seems that only admin users can log in to FTP. Standard users are not even allowed login.

I have been trying to figure this one out but I am dead in the water.

I looked through the manuals but couldn't understand whether this is doable. Any doc pointers that describes this would be appreciated.
