How much power does an iMac DV use in Sleep mode?

I want to leave our iMac in sleep when it is not in use, but my Dad says he doesn't want it like that because it uses too much power. I though it would use something about like a cordless telephone, or maybe a night light. Does anyone know for sure how much power it would use?

According to Apple the Max Watts: 150, Amps: 17, BTU per Hr: 513. I assume this is the usage while working on it, not in sleep mode. Sleep mode would more than likely cut this in half if not more, due to the monitor sleeping and the drive slow down.

Why not measure it? My grandfather had an old electric meter (the kind with the spinning disc and in a glass case) and he basically put it in the middle of an extension cord. Voila, you can measure the number of kwatts per hour. Do that and I bet your Dad will be impressed.
