Once I have printed anything, HP's background process 'HP All-in-one Communications' keeps using about 16% of my CPU until I log out or restart. If you're using the G85 drivers, do you see high CPU consumption after printing has completed? I am using the latest (4.03) drivers for my G85 with a TCP/IP network connection (via a JetDirect 300X).
I'm curious if other people see the same problem, whether with USB- or TCP/IP-connected G85s. This looks like a fairly major bug to me. As yet, there's been no response from HP on this issue.
PS I'm running OS X 10.1.2 on a TiBook 400.
