i got the icon back no big problem. all i had to do was open the info about the icon by selecting the incon and pressing "apple - i" then doing a "control - x" and it returned the system icon to my drive. if you want to change icons. "apple - i" on the icon you want to use, select the icon in the info box do a "control - c" then select the icon you want change and the info box will change and do a "control - v" and theoretically it should change.
