Hello system is Tiger 10.4.8 machine is iMag G4 17" flat panel. All updates ok.
System stopped after a power outage. System will not start up. Have used OSX disk to start up and run disk utility which quits or hangs before it finishes. I have also used Norton utilities to run disk doctor, I get messages saying there has been b-tree issues and that there are bad blocks on the disk surface. I now have all info saved from the machine and am trying to erase and install. The window that selects the "Destination Volume" shows no hard drive icon, ie no where to start the re-install???
Here I am stuck, anyone any ideas.
