InDesignCS PDF

Does anybody know how to export a file to PDF in InDesignCS with postscript level 2 implementation? I have a Harlequin 4.5 rip that only allows level 2 files.

Does it not already? Have you tried creating a PDF out of InDesign and sending it to the RIP?

I don't see any options for controlling the PS level output of a PDF file in InDesign nor Acrobat Distiller.

I'm not 100% certain, but if you select Acrobat 6 compatibility in the options it should be level 2.

If you can't find a definite answer here, you might want to e-mail Adobe's support line or check out their user forums.

In order to adequately control the Level 2, you need to "print" the file to a postscript file. Your print option when you select "postscript file" will change to "Save" instead of "Print".
You need to set Level 2 in the Output section before you save the file.

Rip the file in Acrobat Distiller.
