I am trying to install QuickTime 7 onto my old iMac.
The userguide for QuickTime 7 gives the following as the requirements:
System Requirements For Mac OS computers:
A 400 MHz or faster G3 PowerPCbased or Intel-based Macintosh computer
At least 128 MB of RAM
Mac OS X version 10.3.9 or later
I have the following on my computer:
Machine Model: iMac
CPU Type: PowerPC 750 (33.11)
Number Of CPUs: 1
CPU Speed: 600 MHz
L2 Cache (per CPU): 256 KB
Memory: 384 MB
Bus Speed: 100 MHz
Boot ROM Version: 4.1.7f4
Serial Number: YM1500LXLFC
Sales Order Number: M8546LL/B
Yet when I try and install QuickTime 7 it gives me the following message:
The Installer package QuickTime766_Leopard cannot be opened.
The Bill of Materials for this package was not found.
