Internet Disconnected on Sleep Mode

is there any way of stopping this? everytime I leave my mac idle for half an hour the internet disconnects, then reconnects when I move the mouse, any way of stopping this?

What type of Internet connection do you have?

Broadband, it doesnt do it everytime, its quite random

It depends. If you have a router that connects it is a bit weird, but if your Mac connects directly it is clear that you disconnect during sleep. Otherwise it would not be a real sleep mode, right?

its behind a router, never happens when im on the computer though, must be a problem with the router

There should be a setting in your router to always stay connected.

it does always stay connected, its fine on the other computers
