I have a 3G iPod which crashes OSX (both 10.2 and 10.4) seconds after connecting with either Firewire or USB. The iPod still recharges by the mains charger and works on its own. I've tried resetting the iPod but to no avail and I cannot reset the iPod from the Mac because it crashes the Mac. Any suggests welcome.
