iPod updates

I'm trying to download the new iPod update 1.2.6 but it seems like every time I donwload it, I don't get the ACTUAL iPod update....just the readme's. Anyone else have the same problem? Let me know.
 
You should get the .dmg (if i remember right) .. which has a .pkg ... it will install the updater to your system, and the next time you plug your ipod to your mac, it will ask to be updated.
How come only readme files in the folder? Where are you getting the update? Apple's site, or System Preferences / Updates, or Versiontracker.. ? :confused:
 
Okay, I have downloaded from Apple. BUT, I mount it, and then open it. From there, it starts off like this:

iPod126.pkg and Read Me
I click on the pkg and then it's:
Contents folder
then a resources folder
and then there's just the language folders

Any thoughts? I can't see any ACTUAL iPod updater.
