hello
so i'm considering replacing my home power mac g4 450 with a new powerbook ti 800. obviously when i save enough money of course. i do graphics but with my g4 at work most of the time. so at home the need for a big machine really isn't nesscary....i think. anyway i've read some reviews about the ti and i'm concerned with the heat problems...is it really a problem? also just in general has anybody done what i'm considering doing? does it work for you? i would like to get some opinions on this.

Please tell us more about your home 450MHz G4...
Replacing a tower for a portable is a big move.
I personally have both and even if I LOVE my Ti 550MHz there is no way
it could replace my 733MHz G4 (soon to become a dual 867MHz).

Your questions is :
"Do I really need the portablity that bad?"
