iTunes quits playing at random times

I'm running iTunes 2.0.3 on an 500MHz iceBook 256MB RAM and OSX 10.1.2. And at random times, it will completely stop playing. By that, I mean when I go to push the Play button, it just sits there with elapsed time staying at 0:00. If I pick a different song, same thing. If I move the progress bar to the middle of the song, same thing -- it just hangs. If I shut down iTunes and restart it, it works fine.

Has anyone experienced this problem, or know how to fix it?

... just last week this happened for the first time. The thing that was different, was that I had burned a CD (just joined a band and needed to lay down some guitar tracks for the drummer ...) and after doing so it hung. I was using 2.0.2 at the time and even quitting and starting iTunes again didn't help. After the reboot I installed 2.0.3. I then did the same thing again (thankfully CD-Rs aren't *that* expensive any more ;-)) and guess what - repeatable bug. Well, on my system anyway.

Hence my question: does it happen to you after burning too??

If I figure out any work around or suchlike I'll post it here.
