Hello. I can't remember what lead up to it, but my Lacie 160d2 external firewire hard drive won't mount.

I tried another power supply cord for the drive to elimate that possibility.

It shows up in disk utility. When I verify it the error message the pop up says the following:
------------------------------------
The underlying task reported failure on exit. The log window says:
------------------------------------

Verifying volume “disk1s6”
Checking HFS Plus volume.
Catalog file entry not found for extent
The volume needs to be repaired.

Error: The underlying task reported failure on exit

1 HFS volume checked
Volume needs repair
------------------------------------

When I repair it the pop up says:
------------------------------------
The underlying task reported failure on exit

------------------------------------

The log window error:
------------------------------------
Verify and Repair disk “disk1s6”
Checking HFS Plus volume.
Catalog file entry not found for extent
Volume check failed.

Error: The underlying task reported failure on exit

1 HFS volume checked
1 volume could not be repaired because of an error

-------------------------------------

Any ideas? If the firewire bridge was bad, would it still show up in disk utility?
