mac.com problem

Hi there!

I have a problem using my mac.com email account with our mixed (Win/Mac) network. For some strange reason, the Win XP computer is able to download my emails, even though the mac.com mail account is definitely not installed on that machine.

Does anyone have an idea why that can happen? And better yet: How can I get rid of this problem without having to send postcards instead? ;-) Thanks in advance.

Reading between the lines I guess you are complaining that the XP machine can read your email?

mac.com addresses are just standard email accounts. If you supply an address and a password you should be able to download email using any email client.

iTools and special browsers are only needed for some of the more complicated aspects of managing your iDisk.

Mind you, there is one email that can not be rea by any email client, that being Hotmail. they use an "improved" thing and can, as a result, only be read by MS clients...
