Macbook Case?

When i bought my macbook, it has a small crack on the lower right hand corner about 2-3 inches away from the trackpad, ive tried to find a new piece, i think its called a bottom bezzel? I may have that wrong, but does anyone know where i can get a new piece from? The crack isnt major or anything, just a little annoying. I dont need the bottom piece, just the gray part that goes over the keyboard....

If anyone knows where i can get one, that would be great!

Thanks!!!

I found one on ifixit.com, but its at least 119, but it comes with the keyboard and trackpad, i dont need all that, although i don't know if the trackpad can come off it or not.... but i was hoping there would be one for a little cheaper.

If its the splintering palm rest issue, Apple is replacing those top cases for free if the macbook is within 3 years old and no signs of abuse, weather it is still under Applecare or not. Not sure what you mean about the bottom bezel. Theres the top case/keyboard assy that sits and attaches directly to the bottom case.

Yeah it has that, just like the picture has, pretty much all the way around the palm rest too, t=and the crack starts from the ed where it split, and then continues out for about 2in or so... i mean its not a huge crack or anything, and im sure i could get apple to cover it. Since im not the original owner, Will they still cover it? its the 2.16 core 2 duo, which was made in 2007 i think, so will they still cover it?

what do i have to call and tell them?

Shouldn't have to tell them anything. Just tell them you read that those top cases are being replaced due to splintering. They will just possibly look at it at verify there are no signs of abuse (liquid or having been dropped) and possibly have to chat with Apple. I don't know how the Apple retail stores handle them (i.e. send them out or repair in house), but we just do them in house. Anybody who's done ten of them should be able to swap it out easily in under 1/2 hour. I guess it just depends on how backed up they are.

thats much cheaper, if they wont replace it for free, then ill buy that one, thank you Eldiablo
