Macbook Users deleted [Please Help]

Hi, I would really appreciate some help or info.

I logged off my preferred User account last night [i have/had 2 User accounts on my macbook]. I woke up my MB this morning and neither of my Users are available. My 2 users have been replaced with "Other..." and it requires a Name and password to log in. I've tried both name's and passwords.

Can any one please shed some light on why this may have happened and more importantly, how to best resolve this problem.

This kind of thing doesn't just happen usually. Did you try to change the names of the user accounts or did you happen to rename those particular users folders?
