MacOS 10.3.8 Released

I found this strange. My new Mac mini, didnt see the software update. I had to download it directly from Apple's website. The mini didnt notice the iPhoto update either...

And indeed my Mac mini had 10.3.7 so I'm not sure why... Maybe if I restarted I would of saw it... Oh well, time to restart, install done! :)

Update, 10.3.8 installed. Now my Microsoft InteliMouse Explorer 4.0 works like it should. I had installed the drivers and all that, and it didnt work in 10.3.7... Amazing, that made my day.

i've found that the updates sometimes take a while to show up for me after they are announced. i wouldn't fret about it.

This is, so far as I can remember, the BEST Apple software update since I first started using OS X (Jaguar 10.2.0). I'm just so uncannily impressed with the way it's breathed new life into my PowerBook.

Speed is the most noticeable improvement (wakes from screensaver to Auth panel quicker, opens iPhoto without ten mins lag, wakes from sleep quickly, starts up quickly... it's like a whole new machine!)

Some users on the Apple Discussion Boards have reported issues, others have praised this release. For some users of G5s, the fan issue this update is set to repair actually began post update. All users report much more satisfactory something or other in WoW.

Regardless, a highly recommended update for all users!

Getitgetitgetit!

(I don't see another update to Panther pre-Tiger; noone could possibly think that there'd be more updates to Panther than there had to be for Jaguar [we're up to 8 already]. This looks like a good one to download the entire combo update for.)

Oh, and after about two weeks of not repairing permissions, and a system update (which usually messes with them pretty horribly), I didn't have A SINGLE FILE with incorrect permissions (other than the ones the OS changes temporarily to satisfy Disk Utility).

I can't get over how much quicker this is!
