If the Junk Mail Filter is on Automatic, does the filter still "train"? Or do i really have to put on Training?

It seems to work pretty well for me, maybe one in 30 junk emails comes thru and in the 5 months that I've had it on automatic, it has only junked one email that I wanted to see. I suggest that after you turn it to automatic you check your junk folder once a day for a few weeks just to make sure that it isn't junking the good stuff. (you know, all the porn ads ;) 0
 
Help. After three days I had 37 pieces of junkmail in my inbox. Much more than usual. Anyone have any tricks or rules that can help out Mails junkmail filter?
 
Put it on training, then you can let it know what is junk and what isn't. If you still have those 37 mails around, that'd be a good starting point.
 
It's on custom because i have some pre-set filters. And i always mark messages and junk but more and more seem to make it through.
