Mail problem: command plus (+) doesn't work

Hello colleagues,

I have a small problem that's really no big deal, but I thought I'd mention it in case someone has a solution.

When I'm using Mail, Command + is supposed to do the same thing as Format > Font > Bigger, but it doesn't.

If I want to jack the size up several notches I have to use the menu several times, which is a real pain.

Any suggestions (besides getting new glasses?)

In my defense () the path Format > Font > Bigger gives the incorrect shortcut!!!

Gentlemen why all the confusion? Both of you are thinking too hard.

The shortcut is correct. The keyboard layouts between your two machines are different. Eric's iBook has a keyboard layout without a numerical keypad and is forced to use the '+/=' key to output the + character (in conjunction with shift of coarse). sithious has a keyboard with a numerical keypad no doubt, and is using (Klink assumes) his '+' key from the numerical keypad. Shift will have no effect there.
