Moving windows without dragging the titlebar?

In a lot of Linux WMs such as KDE and Enlightenment, you can move a window around by holding Alt (I think) and dragging anywhere in the window. You can also do something similar to resize the window without dragging the handle in the corner.

Is there anything like this in OSX? For large windows it may be faster for me.

Nope -- at least, not built-in.

Also, in the Finder if you change the view from the spatial navigation to the window that has the shortcuts at the left (click the lozenge on the right of the Finder window), you can move the widow from any edge (except the lower right, of course ).
