My CDRW died today

My firewire que drive died today. I have been wanting to look into these super drives but am out of the game a bit. What can I expect to spend for a decent CDRW/DVDRW drive? Any recomended brands compatibale with OSX? Or should I just send in my que drive and get it fixed?

The ones I've seen floating around the channels go for about $399-$499 for a DVD-R/RW & CD-R/RW. They're all firewire as far as I know, unless you wanna do some internal drive swapping.
