network/e-mail problems

I setup an osx mail server using 10.1 client version, configuring sendmail etc. I'm on an internal network, with the router running ip unnumbered, so the mail server has a public ip statically routed to the internal ip, with the mail domain attached to the public IP.

The problem is this- acounts can receive mail, but not send mail to the outside world. An error message reading "Relaying denied. IP lookup failed [192.168.100.80]" This is the internal IP of the computer trying to send mail. Any ideas how I can get around this, reconfigure sendmail or the computrer in some way to be able to send? Thanks for any help you can offer.

Jim

You'll have to add your IP or hostname to Sendmail's access file, or use your ISP's server for sending mail, yours for receiving.
