I'm setting up a 4400/200 PowerMac to be an MP3 server. For some odd reason, it won't boot from the hard drive, even though files are accessible from it when I boot from a CD.
What I thought I'd do is burn a Linux distro onto a CD and use that to boot the computer and serve MP3s from it.
Does anyone know of a Linux distro which would work on a 4400/200 PowerMac and be able to connect with Mac OS X via ethernet? I'd need do buy an ethernet card for it, as this 4400/200 doesn't have an ethernet port, strangely enough.
I'm not a knowledgeable person when it comes to Linux, so I'll need a little help with the terms and such.
Any suggestions?
