No TiBook keyboard response in X Windows

After installing xfree86 4.1.0 and the Aqua server 0.6, I am able to run xwindows and get a simple xterm window, but nothing else. Along with that, the xterm does not respond to any of my keystrokes.

Has anyone else had this problem or successfully avoided this problem?

I have had this problem. XDarwin was not loading a useable keyboard map. Open your XDarwin prefs and make sure the keymapping: load from file option is checked. The default, /System/Library/Keyboards/USA.keymapping works for me.
