Dear all,
This puzzles me: I upgraded my G4 800Mhz iMac from OS X 10.2 to 10.2.8 and installed the two current security upgrades listed by Software Update. I forgot to repair permissions before starting. Yes, I know. Mea culpa. When I got through with the upgrades only the Apple applications would run. None of the MS stuff, Retrospect, or anything other than apple apps would boot. The icon bounced a few times in the dock then nothing. I tried permissions, repairing the drive with Drive 10, different account, ran OnyX over it .still no non-Apple apps.
Can anybody explain this?
If I upgrade again (I would like to bring it to 10.2.8) will I get the same odd thing?
Any help appreciated.
James
