Oopsie on the attempted Whine fix.

A while ago there was a solution posted somewhere about fixing the whine issue. What it did was change the processor scaling I guess, I'm not really sure. Anyone remember this?

Basicly now I get crappy battery life. I'd like to change the settings back to the original. Does anyone know where I can find that article or know what file I have to restore to get my good battery life back?

I thought the "Whine" fix was updating the MacBook's firmware. You can get the update from Apple's support site.

Thanks anyway, but I found what I messed up. File - IOPlatformPluginFamily.kext

I'll restore it from the osx cd or something.

AppleCare has acknowledged the whine as a manufacturing fault and will replace the motherboard on request.

Something that's not really in your posts... You're talking about a MacBook Pro, right?
