Opening a folder

I've written a small flash projector program that has links to pdfs and certain folders on the CD. I'm not sure how to open these folders on a mac though.

On the PC, to launch a folder, it's simply a batch file with: "explorer ..\folder\folder".

What would be the apple script equivalent?

Any help would be super appreciated. ...I'm not an apple native..

Use the "open" command, which opens any item (file or folder) as though its icon were double-clicked.

open ../folder/folder

That is assuming, of course, that the current working directory is already set properly. This might be different on Mac and Windows, so be careful.
