Os 9 To OSX issue.

While running OS 9 on my G3 Wallstreet I had 192 mb of installed ram, After doing a clean OSX intall i'm showing only 64mb of ram.What happened?Help.
 
OS X is much more picky about RAM, so it probably is not recognizing the 128 mb chip. It should be doing more than just not finding it though...
 
This surprises me. I would actually have thought apple and not the software osx is picky.. Really weird. What happenes if you unplug the 64mb module?
 
Well, it's been mentioned here before that RAM OS 9 recognizes is ignored by OS X. Therefore, OS X is more picky about RAM than 9 is :)
 
Yep, and be glad that not 'more' is happening, as usually 'bad' RAM ends with kernel panics... You'll have to consider staying with OS 9 or buying another RAM module that is recognised by OS X.
