real quick i wanna say that i just bought my first mac yesterday and i HATE OSX. if i wanted another unix i would swivel my chair 90 degress clockwise and use my debian unstable, dual gig athalon. :) so im using 9 and am very ahppy with it. one question though and not sure if this applies to this section in the forum but i own a imac snow and i want to put a gig of ram in it and drop a 120 gig hardrive in it. Will this void my warranty with the applecare thingie?
 
If you do the HD upgrade; Yes
If you do the memory; No

If an Apple Certified repair location replaces the HD; No, but the HD isn't under the Apple warantee
If an Apple Certified repair location replaces the memory; No

So bring it to an Apple Certified place, you shouldn't have a problem, and ask them if it'll void warrantee. When I was doing break-fix I could replace a HD with no void of warrantee. Best to ask them.
