Smash
Cube is Trinity...
Hi,
I have currently a NT4 server for a network of about 20 machines and two printers.
Machines are running under: Win 95, 98,Me and 2000; Mac OS 9.1 and X.1.2 and Red Hat linux 7.2.
Printers are HP 2200 and Apple laser writer 12/640 ps.
We (me and other people in computer dept of company) want to setup a G4 with OSX server as a file and printer server.
The point is I have whet we can call "dummy" guys working with the files and the printer on the server.
The question are:
- Will it be easy for them to access printers: means no connections errors or stuff like that.
- Will the access to file remains as simple as it is: means a shortcut on their desktop and they got their shared folders, without password, domain name or other.
- Is the FTP server, I want to migate mine (OS 9.1 and Webstar), really efficient with a great connecticvity .
That almost all I'm asking... If someone can share is experience with me, you're welcome...
Tks in advance.
