Panther broke VPN connection

Loaded Panther yesterday about 4:00, upgrade install over 10.2.8, 1ghz AlBook, 512 Mb.

Went to internet connect, had to re-enter my VPN server info, and when I try to connect, here is what I get:

Sat Oct 25 11:56:52 2003 : PPTP connecting to server '"IP address' (IP address)...

Sat Oct 25 11:56:53 2003 : Using interface ppp0

Sat Oct 25 11:56:53 2003 : Disabling 40-bit MPPE; MS-CHAP LM not supported
Sat Oct 25 11:56:53 2003 : MPPE required but peer refused
Sat Oct 25 11:56:53 2003 : Connection terminated.
Sat Oct 25 11:56:53 2003 : PPTP disconnecting...
Sat Oct 25 11:56:53 2003 : PPTP disconnected


Any ideas???

Same happened to me. If you're not to uncomfortable using the Terminal you might have some luck checking this link: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=107706

I followed the instructions posted there, but so far it hasn't worked for me.....

Good for you, I must have messed something up here, 'cos I still haven't got it working.
Called Apple support, but they don't seem to know must about it, else than "it might be something at your ISP....".

Here in Greece mine VPN connection which is needed for my DSL connection is broken under Panther all while under Jaguar works like a charm!
