Alright...how do I know if my PowerMac is "airport ready". I have a 2 wires that sort of dangle next to a "cage" of some sort. One looks like the same type of connection that was used in my iBook to connect it's airport card but I'm unsure of where it would actually go. Does it snap into that cage? Do I just need the airport card? Does it just plug into those 2 wires?
I think the only Airport card that Mac can take is the original one, which seems to be quite costly anywhere on the web. Plus, it's only 802.11b.
The Airport Extreme card is incompatible with this Mac. However, you might be able to find some compatible PCI wifi cards for it. There is one that Buffalo Technologies makes that shows up as an Airport-compatible card in OS X:
