Pictures directly from iPhoto Library to MySpace

Greetings,

Every time I want to upload pictures stored in my iPhoto library, I have to make a folder (i.e. on the desktop), copy all the pictures from the library in question there, and then upload them from that folder to MySpace. Is there a way to upload pictures directly out of iPhoto into MySpace without going through this extra step?

To upload photos, drag the photo from the iPhoto app to the desktop and upload from there. You can also use the export function in the app to do the same thing, but that will allow you to choose what size you want to upload. Never go into the finder for your photos. Doing so will cause iPhoto to be rendered useless.

Some sites offer plugins for uploading, but since I don't do that, I can't be specific about which ones. If the site you want to use has a mac uploader, install that and use it. Otherwise, just take your photo from the app to the desktop and upload from there.

No.

If you use Flickr or Facebook, however, I believe there are plug-ins for iPhoto available that will allow you to upload directly into those sites without the "export" step required for uploading to MySpace.

actually, no, you can't do it on facebook, flickr or on ebay on 10.5. It's a pain. I can do it on OS10.4 and lower. Why did it change and has there been a solution in the last 6 months?
 
I was under the impression that iPhoto '09 had the ability to upload directly to FaceBook and Flickr. I don't remember MySpace being mentioned during the keynote about iPhoto '09.

iPhoto '09 on my MacBook Core2 Duo running OS X 10.5.6 publishes to both flickr and facebook just fine, using the "flickr" and "facebook" buttons in the lower right-hand corner.

So, again, yes, it does work just fine on 10.5, and it's not a pain at all (unless clicking one button is a pain). It hasn't changed, and therefore needs no fix.

If you're using iPhoto '09 on OS X 10.5.6 and you're having problems with these functions, then that's something specific to your machine. We would be glad to help you troubleshoot it to try and get them working for you.
