i just had the top case and the DVD-ROM drive replaced on my PB G4. got it back today. it will not read a burnt disc what so ever. i downloaded the PB G4 DVD ROM Firmware upgrade and ran it. it tells me it is not needed. thats the only reason i can think of that it would not read a burnt disc because the firmware was not upgraded. but it is telling me it is up to date, and not needed. any other ideas? does anyone know what is wrong here? apple wants to charge me $50 for this incedent, even though i just got it back from apple and it is a new drive. tia.
