I've moved and changed my Internet service provider from a PPPoE DSL to a cable modem DHCP connection. Pretty much the same grub except my Privoxy isn't working anymore.
I have configured a proxy at 127.0.0.1, port 8118, as usual. And made sure that it has been started. Even with the caches cleared the Safari browser will constantly display the "Privoxy is not being used" HTTP page when I try to configure it.
When I tell the computer to use the old Internet connection (the PPPoE), Privoxy once again works (I can configure it with the browser) - even though I don't really have a connection. So I guess that this has something to do with the change to DHCP.
Anybody know what's going on here? Help please. **never mind**
