Quark: exchanging files between os x and os 9 versions

Here's the situation: Mike's running os x and uses quark 6. Quark sux, sorry, six, only delivers version 5 or 6 quark files.

Henry's got an old computer, barely but happily running os 9.2, and uses quark version 4.1! Now he gets this version 5 Quark but this stuff refuses to install ('incompatible with system language (error -4)' is that the OS or the language, like, french or swahili or something???), so he sells it to Mike to install on his computer, who feels like he's been ripped off, 'cause it won't install on his os x computer either!


Now how are these 2 guys gonna exchange their files???

Well, are they running languages other than English on their computers? That would make sense that the installer refuses to install, if they, perhaps, purchased the US English version of QuarkXPress and are trying to install it on a non-English installation of either OS X or OS 9...

Ask Quark by phone. Your problem has no formal solution, this could be anything, language, serial, system etc.

Use the assistance provided by Quark Inc. is the ONLY thing you can do, apart from reinstalling Quark all night and praying Vishnu in some dark corner of your flat.
