Question about Mail.app!

I was wondering if there is a way to use a picture as a background in Apple's mail app. For example, if I have a picture that I like and want to use it in mail, I want to be able to type over it, be able to place text on it.

Anyone?

The HTML editing capabilities in Mail are not up to what you are wanting to do. You might create the image including the text in another application such as Graphic Converter and then send that as an embedded attachment. It would be very big. The Thunderbird email client may have more robust HTML edit features but I have not tried it. in any case, there is no guarantee how your recipient will see an email such as you describe. It all depends on what email client they are using and what preference settings they use. Some would see it just fine and others would only see junk.
