RAM problems - Mac Mini 1.25ghz

Hi

I have recently attempted to upgrade the memory in my mac mini 1.25ghz to its maximum capacity of 1gig. I've ordered the correct ram, pretty sure of that.

I got it installed but when booting I get a loud beep indicating that the machine does not recognise the ram.

Has anyone had any problems with 1gig chips inside these mini's?
 
Well try resetting the RAM. If the Mac does not recognize the RAM then, take is back. Also OS X is very picky about RAM. So buying just the cheapest may not work. I usually get my Mac RAM from OWC and/or Crucial. I do this because these manufactures actually guaranty their RAM.
