MBP ships with an ATA hard drive but on NewEgg all the larger hard drives (400 - 500 gigs) are SATA. Am I limited to only ATA hard drives or will these SATA work as well? Last edited: Oct 16, 2008

M MClever Registered Oct 23, 2008 #2 All MB Pros are SATA drives. The last Apple laptops that use ATA (IDE) drives are the PB G4's. I install Hitachi and Seagate drives regularly.
