Reversing a software up-date?...

I accidentally accepted a software update for an application that I didn't want updated - does any one know how to reverse the update?

Archive and Install your OS, and update with combo update to the previous version of that software.
They didn't build in any way to remove ONE software update...

It's an application outside of the OS software..Also how would you do the above?

Depending on the application, you should be able to delete the /Application, then reinstall, apply all working updates. It wouldn't hurt to delete the /users/you/library/preferences/com.manufacturer.application.plist file either.

The answer depends very much on what the application is you're trying to "downdate".
