Safari Problem with 10.4.3

I have been happily using Safari with no problems since installing Tiger. Since3 upgrading to 10.4.3 it has become so unstable that it is not usable. It crashes out asking if I would like to re-open it or close it. Firefox 1.5 Beta is working with no issues.

I used the combo updater and repaired permissions so did not really expect any problems. Has anybody else experienced this and if so have you managed to find a fix for it ?
 
Using PithHelmet or a similar Safari Plug-In? If so: Remove it until an update's available. And remember it next time an update comes around. :) Those ALWAYS create havoc.
 
Thanks for the reply, but I am using bog standard Safari. It is disappointing as it was working well until the upgrade. I avoid add-ons just to avoid such problems.
